if you can find a nice suit. doesn't have to be expensive, just nice you will look a great as if you had a tux.

Some places wont let you in if you dont wear a tux. Find that out first then decide.

If its for financial reasons, I'd say sure.
Theres no real reason why you should miss out on going to your high school prom bc of $$$
Now if you're just trying to be a hardass, or dont think you'll look good in a tux..NO WAY! haha. wear them..They make even the most unattractive man look cuter :)

You should go however you feel most comfortable, BUT it would be more respectful to your date if you put in the extra effort by wearing a tux.
