Vacuum leak. I had a similar problem once on a 1987 Plymouth Reliant station wagon many years ago.
It turned out that there was a crack in the carburator. When it reached a certain temperature, the crack would open and create a vacuum leak, making it stop running. It took a lot of time and money to find it.
Once the engine cooled a little, the car ran like a top. . . really fast and even for a while, then wobble, and finally stop (because of the vacuum leak).

Depending on the temperature, it might be a good thing. Better than overheating, that would ruin the engine. If it's a moderate operating temp then maybe the catalytic converter is clogged and the engine isn't able to breathe. The catalytic converter is in exhaust pipe about half of the way through. It's the device that burns up the bad gasses so that you're only releasing Hydrogen, and as little co2 as possible. It , if clogged could cause the engine to choke and not breath with no way to exhaust (exhale). A slight block wouldn't necessarily overheat the vehicle, but possibly choke the exhaust. So to speak. Just a thought, don't take my word for it.

sounds like its stalling when your engine has warmed up and the computer is going into closed loop. if its setting the check engine light find out what codes are set, otherwise youve got an electrical problem that probably is best diagnosed in a shop. if it was overheating you would have probably seen smoke coming out from the hood by the time it began stalling

Im assuming its overheating... The problem sounds like a broken thermostat..
When the temperature reaches a certain degree, your fan is supposed to turn on.... is this happening..?
Bring it to a garage and get it checked out..
My guess is that its not a hugh or expensive problem but if left unfixed it will develope into a big one... - such as a blown gasket or total engine rebuild....
