They HAVE to help you! Be persistent. Threaten to report them to the AMA.

By HIPPA law (privacy), medical records will not be online.

When I applied for grad school, I was not allowed to get an ID until I could provide proof that I had my measles shots. My pediatrician from 30 years earlier provided me with the records.

If you still have the contact info of the pediatrician in Indiana, you can have the Colorado dr request it, or you can write to the dr's office in Indiana directly asking for them to send you a release form to fill out and send back making the request.

Also find out if the practices in both States have software that are part of a National Medical Records' Database where they might be able to get the info if you can't do the release form.

No. That would be against the law. No ones medical records are available online because of confidentiality. You do have to send the doctor in Indiana a signed release. That is the only way you can get them.

Did you call your doctors from Indiana? because they should be able to fax the records to you in Colorado, or just try contacting the kids old school.

No, there is no website you can get the records on.

The doctor should have all the records, and has to give them to you if you request copies. For all intents and purposes you 'own' all of your, and your children's medical records.

Try having your new Pediatrician also request the records. They can be faxed directly to the new doctor.
