if you are not hungry after sleeping this is a sign of a slow metabolic rate. I would try 2 things. having a small snack of an easily digestible form of protein before bed. this could be something like cottage cheese or even egg whites. for breakfast if try drinking some juice or a protein shake. for the most part when it comes to breakfast anything is always better than nothing. the body needs nutrients when it awakes from the nightly fast. the longer the body is kept in this fasted state the greater the loss of amino acids from muscle tissue as they are catabolized for energy. over time this equates to a decrease in muscle mass or a lower than average amount of muscle mass. either way it means a higher percentage of body fat

Eat something small and bland, like a bowl of oatmeal or a bannana. If you feel sick have some iced coffee, I don't know why but it always makes my stomach feel better. To lose weight the best thing you can do is exercise and eat lots of fruits and veggies. If you really think that eating in the morning makes you sick, just don't eat. Have an early lunch, a big snack, and dinner. Good Luck!

You don't have to eat first thing in the morning. I usually wait an hour or two sometimes even three before I get my first break (I work 6am to 2:30pm). Since you are on second shift your "breakfast" is right around lunch time. Try eating something light like yogurt or a banana an hour or two after you wake up.

Eat fruits, nuts, and drink water. Oatmeal is good. Start small and just nibble. I used to feel the same way but I stopped drinking milk and the feeling went away after a while. Water is really important and you may be slightly dehydrated. 1/2 ounce of water per pound of your body weight per day is the current RDA.
Now I drink milk that is hormone free and from free range cattle. It tastes better and I feel better, too. I don't drink it everyday either.
The reason you want to eat in the morning is to stop your body from fasting. It helps get your systems working efficiently. Eat lunch, too.
Being regular in your routine helps.

I would certainly to hear more about other symptoms. I would suggest that you would try juices in the morning. Or maybe try to have breakfast after one hour of waking up.

The irony is, once you get into the habit of eating breakfast, your nausea will go away-- it's a sign of low blood sugar.

I suggest trying small sipps of apple juice, it could be you are hypoglycemic and need to raise your blood sugar. I am and this is how I start my day and feel the same way.
