Stop straightening it and use a blow dryer to blow dry it straight instead of using straightening iron, or get it chemically relaxed and use a really really good conditioner, like Sunsilk Hydra TLC.
If you are African American, go to a salon that specializes in "black" hair and follow their recommendations, because you have a different type of hair from most Caucasian groups and it needs special care.

Get Aussie 3 minute deep conditioning conditioner, then after shampooing your hair(use Aussie moist shampoo it works great, and it doesn't matter how much you use it) get a BIG blob of the conditioner in ou hand, and then rub in all of your hair, but leave it there for 5-20 minutes, and then wash it out until your hair doesn't feel soft anymore. it really works for damaged dry hair, and doesn'tcost very much!!!!! I recommend it to anyone.

Try using Carol's Daughter products. Works best for your type of hair :)
Heard lots of raves about it and it smells amazing too. Been featured a lot, like in the Tyra Banks Show and you can get it at Sephora or the website.

My hairstylist told me to start taking vitamins and that would keep the moisture in your hair and make it grow faster. You could also wrap your hair at night if you are African American.
