I want to install a remote start system for my 94 Ford Ranger, and I'm looking for detailed instructions on how to do that. The company where I purchased my equipment is called Vehicle Power Accessories. I checked their website, but they don't have instructions. Where could I find instructions?

I'm suprised the instructions didn't come with the kit. I would send it back and get one off of ebay. I got my for 48.00 with shipping and detailed instructions. It took me 1.5 hours to get it installed. Thats with 2 sandwiches, 4 beers and with 3 yes dear conversations.

Hard to believe no intsructions came with the kit, as the job requires tapping into several wires, especially if it has the option to run heater or a/c during auto start. You may wish to try posting the model number of the module itself on a search engine. The actual manufacturer of the module may have a website with more info. Otherwise, try a Ford dealer for copies of the wiring diagram, and hope the terminals are clearly marked on the module itself. I install these at a Ford dealer, but we only install Ford kits, so I can't really get more specific on your particular kit. Mostly it involves tapping into wires at the ign switch itself, and the brake switch to auto kill the engine. ( You'd be surprised how easy it is to try and drive off with the steering still locked!)

If you go to www.blueovalnews.com and register, you will able to view their HOW TO section. There is an article there with pictures about installing the remote start and a bunch of other things you may interested in. Also they don't bug you about anything or sell your name to other companies. I've been happy with them.
