The second destruction took place in 70 ce and was for told in the book of Daniel who acquired this threw Holy Spirit and from discerning the scriptures written in the books of Jeremiah and Isiah.

The times Jerusalem was destroyed was because of the children of Israel's turning away from God. Things like worshiping idols to murders and thefts lead Jerusalem to it's desructon. But each time it was destroyed God choose a good few people good people to be founders of the resruction and with the evil people perished the city soon florished with followers of God.
