how do you tell a man friend that you are falling in love with him?

i am 48f and i have been more then friends with this guy by the way who is 53 but i am falling in love with him and afraid if i tell him i will lose him plus also if i do tell him i might lose him too help

My advise to to just tell him in a direct manner. Just say,"I love you". It is easy to say and gets to the point.
