It's best,if you don't know how to let someone do it. There is a lot to do and do right, leave it to the professional.

Make sure that is the problem first. The 1.9L was very
dependable and had very few problems. We have a fleet
of 94s w/ that engine, all w/ very high miles and have had no
problems w/ any. One has just under 400k miles and still
gets 37+ mpg. Incredible. Can't say enough about them.
Also, my friend in the salvage business tells me he has
never sold one. He doesn't bother to keep them, not even
with low miles as there is no demend for them.

Replacing a Head gskt on a 1.9 litre or 1.8 litre dohc...whichever you have is a task for a qualified technician
and will also require machine shop services and several hundred dollars.....and then there is always the actual cause of the problem to deal with...i.e. a bad radiator...bad cooling fan...thermo fan switch inoperative.... coolant leak...the engine
has been severely overheated...etc...
