If you need to raise money to buy a pet, you need to seriously look at whether it's a good time to get one. Pets can be very expensive to take care of on a day-to-day basis. What happens if you have a large, unexpected vet bill? Don't get something you can't afford to take care of, then have to get rid of for financial reasons. That's not fair to the animal.

If you need to raise money to buy the dog, how are you going to be able to pay for things like food, vet bills, bed, collar, leash etc.? Clearly you don't have enough money to BUY the dog so there is no way that you should be considering buying one. The dog is the cheap part. You need to buy high quality dog food every week, pay vet bills (which in an emergency can cost well over $3000), pay to take your dog to training ($120) and many, MANY other expenses.

Maybe you should take a look at the pet shop and buy a few mice or a rabbit. They are cheap and don't need expensive things like $80 beds, $150 vaccinations or $120 training classes!

pets are more expensive to take care of then they are to buy - food, water, bowls, brushes, toys, vet bills- A LOT , grooming, asst supplies depending on what pet you are getting- if you cant afford to buy a pet you wont be able to afford to keep a happy health pet so it is probably not the best time in your life to be getting an animal that will depend on you for its survival and happiness. Please wait until you are in a better financial situation.

Get a job

Remember you will need more than just the purchase price of the animal. Figure that you will spend about a five hundred to a thousand dollars a year on food, grooming, vet bills, toys, and things for a dog - less for cats or smaller animals.

if your broke now e pet will surley put you in the poor house, you have to take them to vets and buy supplies, board them when you're away, you will be looking for a new home to anyone within 6 months, save the pet idea for when you are financially ready, like rents paid on time, car payments mailed in. don't grt one get attatched and then wish you never did it, so unfair to the animal!
