For example, Tiger is currently in the lead of the WGC-CA Golf Tourney. There are two players tied for 2nd and I'm hoping that Charles Howell manages to tie for 2nd too. Which of the three players tied for 2nd gets paired with Tiger for the final round?

I believe it is the person with the lowest round of the previous day. For example, if Howell III shot the lowest round out of the tied players today, he would play with Tiger tomorrow.

First to days is random last 2 days (after the cut) is the top 2 or 3 leaders get placed into the group that hits off last

They usually do it by who finishes first in the pack of people with the same score. If you finish earlier than you will get a later tee time.

which ever one has the best score over all in the tourn. one of the guys might be beating the other for the day, but the other guy might be beating him over a few days

1st two rounds are random then the last two rounds are determined by where the place in the field

most tournaments go by whoever posted the score first on the previous day
