The answer to your math question would be $3000, which is way too expensive for advertising. Has your sandwich shop owner considered advertising on the back of the register tapes at the local grocery store? This type of advertising is much cheaper than traditional forms of advertising, but it gets the same if not better results! I work for a register tape advertising company that works with 10,000 grocery stores in the US, Canada and the UK, so tell your sandwich shop owner to send me an email and I'll set him up with a great deal!

No,, it's not a function of advertising budget,, if it was the owner would spend all the money in the world on advertising.
