Well, if they're sponge rollers, then wet hair. That way they can dry to form the curls.

If you mean hot rollers, obviously the wet hair and electricity might not be a good idea... :D

Rollers work better in wet hair. After washing your hair, dry it with a towel, for curls add styling gel and then put in the rollers. For volume just roll your wet hair. In both cases for best results, let air dry.

I will divide my answers into three catergorys and you can choose

wet hair:
if you are in a hurry, then you probably do not want to put rollers in your hair for like 15 minutes then leave because the wetness will straighten your hair back

if you are not in a hurry, i would suggest you wet your hair, put the rollers in, and take them out when your hair is dry

dry hair:
whether you are or aren't in a hurry, if you put rollers in with dry hair, it wont work

hair that is lightly spritzed with water:
put some water in a spray bottle, spray it over your hair, and wut the curlers in it will have the same effect as if you had your hair wet and waited, except it will take a shorter time

i really hope this helps!

i personally feel ( and read in many magazines) that damp hair is the best. dry hair to dampness only, then use a prepping spray or moose and then rollers. this will lead you to soft but curly hair! if the hair is too wet then they dont all dry and curl well leaving them to fall out shortly after unrolling. and dry hair w/o spray does the same. good luck.

I would say dry because if you put curlers in and your hair is wet they will slip right our of your hair.
