Everything sounds progressively louder, nothing is actually sounding louder, it just is louder. My thoughts seem like they have excelamation points at the end and when i think the slightest thought, it seems of the utter most importance, and when i breathe it sounds like i'm am sighing as loud as i possibley can. When i cough or talk or make any kind of noise it feels like it echoes and fades so quickly I can hardly figure out how to explain my problem. do you ever get this feeling? is it normal? its like everything is screaming and i feel very anxious, its almost like my sense of hearing becomes more and more sensitive and when it reaches a certain point, the feelings goes away like right now i'm starting to feel normal again. Please help me, what is this feeling called? How can I stop these feelings? I'm on two antidepressants and ritalin could this affect it?

it could be anxiety, you could be intensely expecting something to happen so much that your sense of hearing increases so you can be ready. When this happens try and calm yourself, close your eyes, lie down, take deep breaths, or try and find out what your anxious about. If its with a strong pain as well, it could be a migraine, otherwise it might just be an anxiety reaction. Read the side affects on your tablets, if it says anything about anxiety, or anything to do with your symptoms, go and see your doctor tell them about the symptoms, and the tablets, and if possible ask for a brain scan.

Please don't panic, that will only make things worse. If I were you I would definately go to my GP and get him to look at my medication. Why are you on two anti-depressants? If your GP rules out medication as the cause of the problem then ask him to refer you to mental health services. It may sound scary but at least you won't be dealing with it alone anymore. Good luck.

your meds are probably causing these feelings. keep track of how many hours these effects start after taking your morning meds, and report to your doctor. he/she can reduce the doses, or change the meds. best of luck.

A symptom of depression is sensitivity to noise.... maybe your meds are conflicting and as a result, not working? =(
