Yesterday, on Y!A M&F…
“Do you believe that Unicorns once lived?”
Best Answer: “Even my science teacher believes that… I think they did but I wonder why they all died.”

Is this roughly the same as, or different from, a belief in a God?
Why (in either case)?
Does the Best Answer show good science or not?

Some people just can't let go of their childhood.

Well, not same. Unicorns have been posited but no evidence ever has been turned up to prove they exist - and yet they are posited to be real, tangible things. God not visible, not tangible. The fact that you cannot prove its existence can be blamed on experimental technique. Og can believe in invisible, immaterial, insubstantial things till the cow comes but nobody can prove Og wrong.

This all very indirect and hypothetical for Og. Og get Frappucino (and dream of day when Peet's have such magic with branding).

It shows stupidity so does a belief in God.
