The bible itself has "prophecies," so in itself, is the bible not a sin?
I find it odd that you religious people can believe in such contradictions.

It is not a contradiction, you do not understand the difference between fortune tellers or mediums and prophets. The Bible codemns the art of fortune telling, communicating with the dead, and other occult practices. One girl who anwsered your question wanted a Bible verse, ok here it is, Leviticus 19:26,31 Leviticus 20:6 Leviticus 20:27. These are just a few examples. Ok here is the difference between prophets and spiritist, mediums, whatever you want to call them. The prophets were told of what to come directly from the mouth of God, God told them, that is why a prophet of God's prophecies are 100% accurate, if the are not 100% accurate then it is a false prophet. As for modern day fortune tellers bring me one or show me one that is 100% accurate, you will not find one because they are not getting revelations from God but from demons. Attempting to be in the spiritual world without God is very dangerous. He makes this regulation for our own good. Also God sees someone going to someone else for spiritual advice besides him is a slap in the face to Him. No one knows your life better than God.

It is not a sin to prophecy. The Bible itself states that people will once again begin to prophecy in the end times.

seeking answers in the occult is a certain sign of satanism, ergo it is forbidden (even unto death, OT), there is really no contradiction, Prophecy from God is nothing akin to 'fortune-telling' by satanical people
