Why do guys make such a big deal aboot there current girlfriend talking to there ex girlfriend?

My boyfriend gets so0o mad all the time if I go to talk to his ex girlfriend, and I ask him why is it such a big deal and he never has anything to say.. Why is it a big deal. I told him he can talk to my exs anytime he wants.

See he has many many exs like not a player I don't think lol But I only have a couple because I was in a long term relationship for almost 5 years so he has alot of exs

My boyfriend sees me talking to his ex girlfriend (Morgan) a lot (because we are friends) and he gets like SO mad
he will come storming up and be like "Morgan, you arent talking about me are you?!" and since i think it is immature, i am always like, its okay, we were just talking about a teacher (or whatever we were talking about) and then he goes, "Why do you guys need to talk to each other" and then Morgan is like "because we are friends" and then he will be like "well, she is MY girlfriend, so leave her alone" and it goes on and on.... its neverending
