I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis, and this is an overwhelming time when you haven't had treatment and don't know what the future holds. What I would suggest:
1. Get family/friends who support you involved in meeting with your doctors to understand what treatment may be needed. They can help make sure that you are able to get the information you need during this difficult time.
2. Take the approach to treatment that makes the most sense to you.
3. If you want to have kids after treatment, it's difficult to say without knowing details whether it will be physically possible, but if you can't then adoption is an alternative.
For right now, I think the important thing is to go one step at a time, starting with preparing for treatment with the support of those that love you.

What you should not do is give up. And maybe Try Vitamin C therapy. A few years ago a cancer researcher came out with a paper saying that the best cancer and infection fighter as yet found was Interferon, but, at the time, it cost $15,000 a gram. The good part was that Interferon was a product of the natural breakdown of Vitamin C in your system. Shortly after that paper came out the FDA tried to make Vit C by prescription only. Guess why? The FDA says that the RDA for Vit C is 64 mg a day, just enough to prevent scurvy. Linus Pauling, who got a Nobel Prize for his work with Vit C and a second Nobel Prize for organic chemistry, said 1000 mg a day as a minimum and 2000 mg a day if you are sick. On a personal note, I was sick twice a year, for 2 weeks at a time, for 20 years, and was flat on my back for at least a week each time. To this day the doctors have no idea what the problem was. After I gave up on the doctors I tried Vit C. I took enough to keep from being sick and just below too much to get diarrhea. It followed a bell curve over 2 weeks with a peak at 40,000 mg a day – about 300,000 over the 2 weeks. I was not sick for those 2 weeks and after a couple of years of that I have not been sick since. I did not dissolve my kidneys, as some doctors said would happen. I did not get any calcium build up or stones and did not dissolve my cones or solidify my joints. Try it, but drink a lot of water – Vit C is a natural diuretic.

Well sweetie, you have to treat and cure your cancer. You are on a life altering journey now. It's true, the treatments make you sterile. But the sooner you start treatment the quicker you will beat this thing and recover and get back on your feet. Please read all the materials they give you, find out what support is there for you and take it. I hope you have a good network of friends and family too...you're going to need thier help.
Perhaps when you look back on this one day down the road, you'll have adopted some little child who calls you mom, and you'll wonder if that's why life brought you down this particular path...we don't know why these things happen but in the end you are stronger for all you go through.
Best of luck as you go through this and be positive and you'll make it through.

Stay calm if you can so you can think straight. I was diagnosed with lymphoma in Nov. of last year. I was so scared just to hear the word cancer to do with me. But it is no longer a death sentences so hang in there and make sure you doctor offers a good therapy program. Get a good support system. My family has really came through for me. And most of all don't give up because you must keep a good out look to beat this. I know we both will win.

I'm sorry to hear about that...
:(
First, stay optimistic and hopeful that you can and will be cured. Follow the treatment your doctor lays out for you. If you don't agree with the treatment plan, then seek a second opinion. Also, make sure to eat healthy, take your vitamins, get plenty of rest, etc... and do whatever you can to keep your body strong.
Second, remember that there are many, many kids already living in the world who are looking for a loving parent to take care of them. Even if you can't make a child with your own body, there are other options such as foster care, adoption, etc.
I wish you the best...
T.

It depends on the type of cancer and the treatment. My cousin's daughter had kidney cancer when she was very young and they weren't sure if she would ever be able to have children because of the chemo and high doses of radiation she was administered. She became a first time mom in December.
Good luck to you! I am a breast cancer survivor

1. Get treatment as the doctor requires.
2. Do daily aerobics and stretching exercises.
3. Do weightlifting once a week.
All this will make you feel better and make your body stronger to fight this disease.
4. Consider adoption. You can adopt thru state agencies and pay almost now money; receive monthly support for raising your child. There are too many kids out there - in THE UNITED STATES, Angelina Jollet!!, that desperately need parents.
Hope this helps. Hope you feel better.

Try to do research on the cancer that you have and maybe find alternative treatments. Consult a second doctor for a second opinion and Pray! Talk to the higher power about how you feel. Start writing a journal about your experiences.

this is a long term disease so u mightwant to have a 2nd opinion on the teratment. treatments are pretty standard though. next step is do whatever the doc says. if he wants to put u a cateter in 2 days then do obbey. please be aware that many cancers now are either curable or treatable in order to make them only a chronic disease.
about kids, i know guys can freeze their sperm before getting chemo and/or rads. i dont know about girls but u should ask.
I hope ull be alright!!!!!!

my mother was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, its a kidney cancer. She was diagnosed a couple weeks ago, it has spread to other organs. Anyway, her urologist sent her to an oncologist and they went from there. Now she is going to fly out to cancer treatment centers of america. According to a friend of mine, her mother goes and they treat you with so much love and respect. Theres a center in Pennsylvania, illinois, oklahoma, and washington.
