Are the kids old enough to help cook? If yes, buy some mini pizza crusts, pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, pizza seasoning, onion (slice it), green pepper (slice it), etc., and let them make their own pizzas. Helps pass the time for them and takes the work off of you. Then let them eat their own personal pizzas while watching a movie.

Lasagna or Ziti are great meals for lots of kids. Mix some ricotta with mozz and Parmesan a little oregano and garlic for flavoring toss in the noodles and sauce. Cover with more sauce and mozz bake at 425 until cheese is melted. You can also make garlic bread.
To stay on the italian kick you can also do sausage and peppers. Get some rolls and have them make their own sandwiches. Quick, easy, and clean up is a breeze.

Try a box of any shaped pasta, cook as usual, drain, mix with 2 jars of sauce, some sliced pepperoni, and 2 cups of shredded mozzerella cheese, put into a 13x9 baking pan, top with 2 more cups of cheese and bake for 30 min.
It will feed an army, and what kid doesn't like pepperoni pizza!
Add salad and some bread and you are set!

If alot really means ALOT, lets say 8 - 10 kids, I would buy a very large bag of plain frozen chicken wings (about $10), and make them in the oven with BBQ sauce and honey, or hot sauce. For side dishes, make vegetables like broccoli or carrot sticks...this way you don't have to give them all silverware...they can all eat with their hands!

When is dinner? If you have ground beef then make Spaghetti or Tacos, but you should have a back up plan for the kids that can't eat beef because of thier reliegnous beliefs or can't have tacos because of milk allergies.

Mini burgers, hot dogs, french fries, veggies and some green salad. If not enough, buy some of frozen appetizers and bake them and set everything like a buffet. They'll have fun eating.

Are they small children or teenagers? How about pizza and salad or veggies & dip. You can buy some Boboli and put different toppings. This is quick and easy........can serve a lot of people too.

Spaghetti is always a big hit and it's not too expensive.
Add a green salad and you're set to go.
