Does that mean they think God created the scientific method as an autonomous entity that would someday implant itself into our minds or something like that, or that God created humans who employ the methods of science and so therefore indirectly created science?

I just don't get it. Someone explain.

It means that they have no idea what they are talking about. MANKIND created science. There are no passages in any Holy Book that describe the periodic table, or explain how the systems of the body work, or explain....etc etc.

-God did not create science, we did. And to say "God created science because God created everything" is absolutely ludicrous. These SAME PEOPLE that will tell you "God created science", will also tell you, God did NOT create murder, rape, illeteracy, war, poverty, etc. They will say that either human beings, or Satan himself created these things, THUS GOING BACK ON THEIR ORIGINAL STATEMENT THAT GOD CREATED EVERYTHING!!!!
-It is called "hypocracy", and it is embedded in the foundation of all religion.

Man has only himself to depend on for his survival. The God mind implanted distortion only get in the way of having a good time.

God or no God he is not here to teach science 101 so his opinion doesn't matter. There is no proof of a superior being that can be classified as an all power God. I am sorry that the indoctrinated can't see beyond their programming.

Ideally the argument would mean that God created the human brain which gives us a capacity to make abstract theories about the universe around us and to test those theories. Humankind has also been imbued with a inquisitive nature, inherently curious about what lies beyond the known.

But the way I commonly seen this line thrown around it seems more like it means "Well I can't refute your argument so I'm going home and your a poop-head"

there's my $0.02

God created Sciene. Science = knowledge. Knowledge = wisdom. God is the source of wisdom.

Basically ,u know the attom (the stuff EVERYTHING is made of)? God made that, God made it work the way it does. Everything is made of the atom. if u go up the line, looking from smallest to largest tings u get to the solar systems. Think about the atom. Compare it to the solar system. Simularities? yes. God follows a pattern.

God used what we call science to make everything so obv. he made the laws of science. God and Science go hand in hand. They are side by side. Dont believe in one, might aswell give up on the other.

God used Wisdom and knowledge to implement it into the creation of ...well, everything.
Finally time for a Bible verse:
Proverbs 3:19-20: By wisdom the Lord laid the earths foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place; by his knowledge the deeps were devided, and the clouds let drop the dew.

My guess is they mean he created the physical laws that govern the universe. And gave men the mind to rationalize. Early Christians believed that if earth was made by a reasonable God than through we could reason understand it.

God created everything. He keeps the planets in line, gravity operating, and even the ratios of gases in the atmosphere. This is why the fundamental laws of science operate the same today as they will in 100 years, and that the same reason that the laws of nature can happen independently and simultaneously. God is the arbiter of this universe, the rules were laid down unalterably by him long ago.

It means that nothing a scientist can say can sway the opinion of a faithful follower who believes that he is in touch with the higher truth and therefore the whole picture - much like we hardly care what an underling says if we don't like them and know that we can easily get the info we want from his boss (someone we do like). I don't think people who say such a thing are applying the logic that you are.

Peace!

I think what they mean is God created the Natural Laws of the universe.

But people who say such things usually have no clue as to what science actually is. They only believe science to be something that makes their Faith harder to swallow.

God created us with the minds, talent, imagination, desire, and drive to explore our world, and our place in it. At least that's the way I view it, God doesn't create science, but creates us to pursue it...
