I am pulling up the carpet off of the hardwood floor, and i know it has been there atleast 15 years, and the pad under chunks are sticking to the floor, and some spots i can scrap up but some will not, and i need to know if there is anything i can use without messing up the hardwood floor.

You have to scrape and sand the floors. Anything else, such as adhesive remover, is too dangerous for a home owner to work with. You could try steaming the chunks off but you will still need to sand the floors when you are done. Feel free to email me for more info. There's probably a good reason the floors were carpeted
