you need to get off the computer and run to that guy's house before he asks someone else. tell him you were nervous and didn't know how to respond so you said no but he's the only one you want to go with.

Prom is a big deal, and if you said no to him, the poor guy already feels rejected and probably will be embarrassed to be around you again. I would at least try though. I would go up to him and tell him that you like him and you were crazy to say no in the first place.

you should go back and say yes before it is too late because if you already know him...im assuming you do....then that night could be the best night of your school years. You dont want to grow up regretting something you could have had. If you thing he isnt the choice, then dont, but always think of your future and what things you might regret. good luck and follow your heart!!
