School busses don't have seatbelts since the seats are close enough together that they provide enough restraint in the event of a forward or rear crash... side impact is another matter, and may be best served with more insulation and padding on the interior of the bus.

Because the kid's have to respond to enough bells at school.

Okay, sorry. (Let's assume you mean't belt even though the "l" it nowhere near the "t" on a keyboard.) Well, in some states they do have them. It's not a "simple answer" issue as many on this site, including myself, have explained before.

Statistically, seat belts on school buses cause, rather than prevent, accidents. Several links on the subject.

Too expensive................ I guess money is more important than our lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zano222 your only confirming that the government rather give money to friends in government, study after study after study those people get paid!

School buses do not have BELTS because it is for safety. It is much easier to rescue/save children that are not "trapped" in the belts. jmo
