We have had these a week now, they are both 9 week old males. One is black, one is white. They play alot together and are always fighting. Should i just leave them to it? I only ask because after a good fighting session there both resting and both purring.

i think this is fine to allow them to fight together..as long as it doesnt get worse.
But this is how they learn to fend for themselfs.
you may wish to get them both the chop as this wil keep them a bit calm )when they are older)
It will also stop them going of to far when you let them out

Awww, I have two cats (who used to be kittens) and they fight all the time, but it doesnt bother me.
Most of the time they are just play fighting for fun, but if you ever catch them clawing really deep and maybe bleeding, then that could be a problem. you also said they were males, and males are usually more agressive, so i would keep an eye on them every once in a while.
good Luck =)

Don't worry, this isn't real fighting. They're partly playing, and partly sorting out whose boss. Its a sensible arrangement that all pups and kittens use - its less dangerous than a real fight. They enjoy it!
In play fighting, they end up closer afterwards, as you noticed they sit together and purr.
In real fighting there are alarming clumps of hair flying around, some really bizarre wailing noises, and the claws are out.
Let them get on with it, its very good exercise for them, and makes them better pets. Animals that play are more outgoing and friendly than ones that don't.

it depends on how serious the fighting is.In your details it sounds like the cats are only playing cuz their purring. let them play cuz it is a great way for them to have some fun. just make sure that these play fights don't escalate to serious on cuz the cats could get injured and i know you don't want that. if the cats are hissing and staying away from eachother then it the fight is most certainly serious and you should train them to stop for their own skins and feelings for eachother!

*best of luck*

Yeh, their play fighting trains them to defend themselves. They most llikely won't hurt each other. Not only that, as you pointed out, they rest an purr. This means that they are using up excess energy so that they can rest better. Also, it is better that they play fight with each other than to attack you or your company or kids.

this is how they learn to defend them self's against a predator. it`s built into them to do this when they are young. They did`nt just decide to fight for no reason they do it out of instinct out of a survival instinct . keep an eye on them when they do it to make sure no one gets hurt but it is really good practice for both of them if they ever get attacked in the future they will know what to do, this is part of thier development.

its noraml for young kittens to fight... its really not considered fighting tho when theyre at that age its just play... in the wild kittens will play fight to get themselves ready for real ones when they become older

so just sit back and be amused... my to cats are brothers and they luv to play fight

Leave them to go at it. They aren't trying to hurt each other, they're just being brothers. If one of them seems to be suffering, break it up with a water bottle or loud noise, but probably they are just wrestling.

Yes, its 100% normal and healthy for them. All kittens do it, they will eventually grow out of doing it all the time but until then enjoy it.
