Why should women be banned from fighting in combat in the American military?

American female soldiers have to spend more time defending themselves from attack by American male soldiers than they do the enemy. When they are attacked, *they* are blamed for the attack and demoted - no punishment is inflicted upon the perpetrators. There is more PTSS among female soldiers caused by their own "brothers-in-arms" than from combat with opposing forces.

Ron Jon is a smart man and he is correct too! Very few restrictions are put on women in the military. Their are only a few jobs that they cannot do (Infantryman etc.). This is because the military feels that it may cause problems at the front and become and unnecessary distraction. When I was stationed with the infantry I witnessed this first hand and I believe now it is a good thing. However their are many women in the military who have far more combat time than i do so i think your question may not be phrased corretly.

Wman are only banned from combat MOSs, like Infantry, Machine Gunner, Mortarman Etc. Every person in the Military is subject to combat..like it or not.

Women are not banned from fighting in combat, women are just banned from joining a combat MOS. MP's have women in it that are always in combat action.

It's not because they can't do it, it's because if a woman is wounded, a fellow soldier might do more to help her than to help complete the mission. Also, soldiers have expressed a certain reluctance to shoot at women.

Well, according to Newt Gingrich, it's because we can't bunker down in holes, on account of us getting "infections", we wouldn't want that to happen now would we? (gotta love that sarcasm,eh?)
