Jesus taught us to not judge one another. Several parables teach that same theme.
Christianity is faith based. If you don't believe in it, that is your choice and I cannot judge you for it.
We judge what we do not understand, what we fear.

People judge, because it is a natural instinct. Within 5 seconds of meeting somebody new we have made an assessment as to if we like them or not!
Faith can cloud a person judgment, but we must try to live by what the bible teaches us: if you look at Luke 6 v 37-38
37"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.'

It's all an ego thing. "You're wrong and I'm right." The human mind is a mysterious thing. Add religion to it and it becomes a violent, unpredictiable thing. Countless wars have been started cause of religious teachings and will continue to do so for the next millenium and beyond. Frankly I hope religion is abolished before hand.

Yes we should and we should be accepting. I do think people judge based on religion a lot. It is only because they truly believe theirs is the only one and they want everyone to belong to theirs.
They just want you to go to the afterlife with them- whether it be heaven or wherever other religions believe.
I don't like that its that way- but it is human nature.
most religions teach that theirs is the only one. The members of that religion don't want you to be lost.

"shouldnt you just be loving and tollerant to all ?"
It's a nice idea but it doesn't quite work...
"Would you like to come round next saturday? I'm sacrificing my first-born to Moloch."
Yes, the assumption that one set of views is exactly right and all others are evil is very dangerous. But saying all views are equally valid is an error at the other extreme.
And imposing even a liberal universal rule IS an imposition of an absolute.
(demanding that you "harm no-one else" is an infringement of any religion that believes in death for unbelievers.)
There's an inherent tension, and it's not perfectly resolvable, but realising that there are other SINCERE views that differ from one's own should create a large measure of social tolerance.
What if, however unlikely it seems, I'm the one with the wrong end of the stick? As the existence of the different views proves, mere utter certainty is not proof of being right.

You should but not all are.
My religion (Celtic Paganism) does say to allow others to do as they wish but it doesn't help when ignorant far right Christians call me a devil worshipper.
I think it's occasionly genuine concern as many religions teach that if you don't believe in them your doomed.
Also people are naturally inclined to try and convince others they are right.

"To Judge," Tell us what that means to you so that we may understand what you wish to know.
There are several types of "judgment." The one the Bible most often speaks of is the Judgment that God works when we stand before him and are told "Heaven or Hell." That is the judging that we are not to do.
Then there is the "Judgment" that happens when we or our fellow believers see another doing what is wrong, according to what is taught and written in our book of teachings, the Bible. That judging is expected of us by God.
So, in order for us to clearly understand your question we must first know how you understand the meaning of "To Judge."

Faith without doubt leads to an absolute position. Absolutist beliefs lead to a simplistic, black/white world view.
They judge because they KNOW they are right, without doubt. If they were more humble in their beliefs, they would not find it so easy to judge.

It is better to live with faith then with none, even if it is wrong, you have still lived a good life you can be proud of.

I don't have a problem with judgment per say. It is making something else bad for you not to like is the issue I have with how people judge. I don't have to say a dish taste nasty for me not to like it. Obviously it isn't nasty tasting to the person who say they do like the taste.
If you choose something else leave out your critique in the process. Just say it is not your choice and then shut up. So much in life is highly subjective. To each his own right?
