Do you gather family and friends over and make a night out of reading passages from the Bible and then discussing it afterwards over some tea and crumpets? Or is that to much for your heart to handle?

Christians aren't boring, they provide a lot of opportunities to point and laugh.

Honk If You Love Jesus

The other day I saw a ''Honk if you love Jesus'' bumper sticker. I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had just come from a thrilling choir performance followed by a thunderous prayer meeting, so I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper. Boy, am I glad I did!

What an uplifting experience that followed! I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection, just lost in thought about the Lord, and how good He is... and I didn't notice that the light had changed. It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus because if he hadn't honked, I'd never have noticed! I found that LOTS of people love Jesus! Why, while I was sitting there, the guy behind me started honking like crazy, and then he leaned out of his window and screamed, ''For the love of GOD! GO, GO!! Jesus Christ, GO!!'' What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus! Everyone started honking! I just leaned out of my window and started waving and smiling at all these loving people. I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love!

There must have been a man from Florida back there because I heard him yelling something about a ''sunny beach''...I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck up in the air. When I asked my buddy what that meant, he said that it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something. Well, I've never met anyone from Hawaii, so I leaned out the window and gave him the good luck sign back. My buddy burst out laughing...why even HE was enjoying this religious experience!

A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that they got out of their cars and started walking towards me. I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended, but this is when I noticed the light had changed, so I waved one more time to my loving brothers and sisters, grinning, and drove on through the intersection. I noticed I was the only car that got through the intersection before the light changed again and I felt kind of sad that I had to leave them all after all the love we had shared, so I slowed the car down, leaned out of the window and gave them all the Hawaiian good luck sign one more time as I drove away. Praise the Lord for such wonderful folks.

Yes, we gather like that sometimes. Its usually a church community gathering. Its not boring at all if you grasp the implications of what the Bible says. It is profound, life changing and yes, fun- because it enlightens, liberates and gives hope and energy. If such a gathering is done right it can be the most incisive and intriguing thing you can do.

And whats ironic is we attract the likes of you. Must be someone has an even more boring life than us. Oh well enjoy your stay here. And try not to spill crumpet sauce on your shirt.

No, actually I like tea & crumpets. We do Scrabble, Bible Trivia and deliver meals to low income households. What do you do for Christ & the Great Commission?...<>< <><

Actually what you just described are care groups and they are anything but boring and it's a time to build relationships with each other and with God....Have you been to one? Would you like to? I'm sure there are plenty of us here on YA that someone must have one in your area you could attend.

Some are, it's because they are kinda new to the Holy Spirit thing and they're just not comfortable enough yet to loosen up and have a little fun. I just realized this during my prayers this morning! :))

PS: His Holy Day is always so special, precious are the gifts He hands out on this day.

Some of the wildest and funniest people I've known were Christians. But they were really bad Christians. They believed and that was it.

Oh, so spending quality time with your family is boring and not enriching. If only I had had such a boring life!

Actually, I have done the very thing that you stated in your question, several times in my life to be sure. What can be more interesting than God.
