Why do people assume so much ?

The person in the above question, asked a good question and chose a bad answer. He went on and on about how we hold things against christians because of the salem witchtrials. That is not the main reason!
Most Wiccans aren't mad at christians but those who are, are because -
+ We were disallowed from public places owned by christians for nearly 20 years of our existance.
+ we were disallowed from public places because of our symbol. (the Pentacle or Pentagram)
+ We are still frowned upon in many places and allthough it's illegal to ban us because of our religion now itstill happens alot.

Also, those who have problems with christians because of the witch trials know that no wiccans we're killed. We'd ALMOST be less mad if they were but 24 innocents DIED, were hung or burned in our place. Plus it's the PRINCIPLE of the thing that bothers me.

Christians tried to KILL witches and Wiccans for doing nothing. NOTHING we do goes against your religion. Do you know of nething we do that goes against it ?

You see, Witches and pagans of ALL kinds are our sisters and we are mad for them and for all the innocents that died at your hand.

i don't know. I have been a wiccan for all of my life,but very few people know,my best friends and my coven members. A few weeks ago word got out and now everyone is rude and mean to me,but i really don't care. I'm surprised at how many people understood. I just wish i could practice my religion without people looking down on me though.

I am going to be mean here, but for a good reason, i think,,,,

the modern pagan movement is just an anti christian movement made up of children that are testing their parents love..... they are the children of conservatives,,,

and the wisdom of the old pagan religions have been lost,,, it is made up to suite the adherents desires.....
if you want to really learn about life and magic from a higher plane,,,, let go of your religion,,,, it is childish,,, try buddhism or hinduism even mystic christianity......
