Uh, NO FRIGGIN WAY! What kind of parent lets their kid (especially their son) get a naval piercing???!?!
Well congratulations! You're officially a bad parent.

If he is at an age where you know he can take care of it (maybe 16 or older), let him. I say this because piercing is just another way to express yourself.
I don't see the harm in belly button piercing if the teenager is ready to be responsible for taking care of it. And in the long run, if he gets tired of the piercing, he can just take it out.
I have already told my own daughter she can get a belly button piercing at 16 as long as her grades are Honor Roll and she maintains it for at least 6 months.
It all kind of depends on you though. You're the parent.
Good luck.

if he is 13 or older then i would say yes. it usually means like a gayish term but not necessarily. Its also usually a girl thing but think of it this way. Its not like a tatoo. If he doesnt want it anymore, he can always take the earing out and leave it out until the whole closes. Then he wont have it anymore.

How old is the son?
Actually, I've heard more than one doctor say that this is actually a dangerous practice. If it gets infected you are really close to internal organs. So, probably not.

If age appropriate, yes. But be sure that you go to a place that follows laws about cleanliness because some places are really gross!

Yes if he was old enough and responsible enough. Also why do people think this is a 'gay' tendency? Its quite a biggoted idea if you ask me.... boy or girl.. pierce it if you like it.. thats the B all and end all.

My Husband, then boyfriend, got his belly button pierced when I got mine done. I just think that if they are of age than it is their decision.
