That was really something who would think there is that many stupid people who would send them money?
Don't they have a church on every street corner?
Those guys have huge mansions that were bigger than the movie stars places. fleets of jets and cars and even told people they had those things and said give me money and god will give you money? why would God give them money for being stupid?

I had read about it on the internet. The article said to down load all the TV Evangelists names and gave the web site.
Then I went to Forbes 400 richest men in America and they were all on there. Then I went into some of the articles on them personally. Like I guess Olson is the hightest paid.
he took over his fathers business. they make more money than movie stars but actually that is what they are.
But I was seeing those fancy houses and they were saying we are collecting money for Bengalli in India. To date not one dime has went anywhere but into their fancy places and jets and cars. But you can't blame them if people think that giving money to rich people gets them into heaven or gains them wealth. They are like any other snake oil salesman.

I didn't get a chance to watch it, so I don't know which TV Evangelists were shown, but I can tell you that most don't get money from their ministry or from tithers. They may get a wage from the church for preaching (that is their job you know), but I most of them write several books that are #1 sellers. If you got paid to do your job (an average and fair wage) and then wrote a book because you did a good job, and made lots of money from the sale of that book, would you agree with someone who said your were taking people's money?

I do believe there are some very crooked TV Evangelists out there, but a good portion of them are true men or women of God who support countless outreach and missions programs. Wealth is not a sin. Love of money is.

It's like, people don't like to leave their house sometimes, and it's just easier to pretend that these people are God's messengers, than to get off their duffs and actually go to church.

Also, they figure that if GOD gave them THEIR money, then He's bound to give THEM money. And of course, these people will tell you that it was GOD who gave them all that money.

I wonder, tho, what they would think if their small child ever said "When I grow up, I want to be a televangelist and make hundreds of dollars!"

For every crooked televangelist, there are many many more who ARE on the up and up.
God will deal with the crooked ones come Judgement Day, but the true men and women of the Lord who are getting the message of the Gospel out there for the lost are truly to be blessed and they will receive MANY rewards in Heaven for all the souls they have led to Christ.
Perhaps you think it is free the broadcast to this wicked world?

You aren't actually suggesting that they're using that money... TO FUND THEIR OWN BLOATED LIFESTYLES?

What would have EVER given you THAT idea?

I used to feel sorry for people who buy into all that crap... Now, after exposing them on television 100 times over its their own fault for sending that check in... I guess everyone needs a hobby.

I am a christian and I was apalled at the whole thing. They are being misleading and they are WRONG. God will deal with them.

televangelism rarely does anything more than fill the pockets of unrighteous pastors... it is no substitute for true Christianity...
