Why do you have to end a friendship over it? You could just leave it to talking outside of class. Just don't respond back when she talks to you. Keep telling her "Shhh" and I think she'll get the hint.

Well, it doesn't sound like you need to stop being her friend. You should just stop talking to her during class! Get her phone number and you two can gab on the phone after you finish your homework.
If you really don't want to be her friend though, just state why you feel you shouldn't be friends (unless it's something mean, like she's fat or something). Expect her to hurt though. There is no nice way to say you don't want to be friends.

You don't have to be mean. Just say it in a manner she will understand. If she's slow to catch what you say and have to be more aggressive than you want.... Don't worry, you just reached her level of understanding which is thicker than yours.
What is your concern, her comfort or your freedom. When you put your destiny in concern for people who don't desire best for themselves or their friends then you risk losing yourself.
You did fine before you met this person. Will you be different if you have to be blunt to preserve your destiny?
Don't make her boss jus cuz she doesn't care to listen.

tell her, I cannot be your friend right now, I need all my energy for my own issues. Or try I need to have some space around me and cannot give you the attention you need. Or I am not ready to be anyones friend right now, I need to have some ME time for the next ... days/weeks/months

You don't have to say anything. Just avoid this friend, in a civil way. You don't have to snub her just don't hang out with her anymore. She'll get the hint.

So your saying you don't want to be this girls friend
because you got in trouble for talking. How nice.
There is no way to tell someone you don't want
to be their friend without it sounding mean.

I don't think that's too good of a reason to tell them not to be your friend. Friends get in trouble together...but next time you can tell her to please be quiet in class because you don't want to get busted again. It's hard to just tell someone off nicely, so just try to work it out with him/her

the way that i would do it is by telling the person that you like them alot as a friend but you have to concentrate on school and on your grades. and that she is disrupting you. but tell her that if you dont concentrate then yallz friendship will end in a worser way.

thats impossible, but you can just say its for both of you. say the following: we better stop talking or we'll both get in trouble. if she says that's mean then tell her: too bad, im not getting in trouble for doing something so stupid. sorry!
