The best type of car is one you are happy with. There are many types to choose from. People like cars for different reasons.
If it gets you there and brings you back the car is doing its job.
Some are good on gas mileage, some look better, some are
built to be fast. It just depends on your requirements. Most cars built today will give you years of trouble free service. Buy what you like the best.

I've owned a lot of different cars, Chevy, Oldsmobile, Ford, Cadillac, Nissan, and Toyota.

I've actually owned a couple of Nissans, but from my observations, and helping people a lot, I am of the opinion that Toyota is the car/truck to buy. Great gas mileage, they last forever, and they're cute or sporty.

That depends on who you are and what you want. If I were rich I'd have a 1970's T-bird that runs on veggie oil. But since I am not, I will probably purchase a Toyota Prius in a couple of years to save money.

Depends
If you are looking for a compact automobile than you should check out Hondas or Toyotas, Honda offers Civic or Accord (slightly bigger) and Toyota has Corola or Camry.

Anything not made by or related to Ford. They screwed me twice, they will not get a 3rd chance. I know a guy who works at a Ford plant and he won't even drive one. I am going to say Honda or Toyota.
