mentally from doing something you regret. You may have had the experience... At the time, you weren't thinking about the long term.. in fact, you might not have been thinking much at all. But now, you can't even bear to think about what you've done, and you KNOW you'd never do anything or condone anything like it ever again. You're not sure if you'd ever tell anyone what you've done. Does this impair your soul permanently or can you recover and how?

about 4yrs ago i did some bad things... i used to have flash backs several times a day now it's only a couple times a week. Theres really nothing you can do now to change whatever you did, the only thing you can do is improve yourself. Everyone makes mistakes and learns!

Yes, you can recover....but don't expect to do it over night..
Something like this takes TIME. Sometimes, TIME, alone, is the only thing that will get you over it.
Just make sure that you never do it again, and then try to do something positive for yourself every single day.
Think positive thoughts, go out and take a walk, do something nice for or to someone, treat yourself to something, things like this, and I mean small things that are positive will help.
Maybe in time, you will be able to share this "horrible" thing with someone. That will also help you; to get it off of your chest. For some people, talking it out and talking it over with someone who can be non-judgemental helps. This doesn't work for everyone.
Good luck, and try to remember to forgive yourself. You are human, you aren't perfect, and it's okay to make horrible mistakes...we've all done it, believe me...I know I have done my share plus some...

If someone else was harmed by this deed ,
The only healing will come after you have undone the bad . . .
If you stole from someone , return it , even if it is anonymous with an apology note.
If it was physical damage (like violence to a child who can't identify you) . . . send an apology to the parents along with as much $$$$ as you can muster for the child's therapy / medical bills .

Review what you did , and what you can do to reverse any of the damage . . .
Only by the victim knowing that the perp has regrets and is NOT stalking them , and provided some help in their recovery . . .
Then your own recovery can begin.

Forgiveness is difficult especially when its yourself. I think you have to start by forgiving others mistakes ,look back ,see what things may have brought on this "incident " then promise yourself to Never go down that path again. Have you concidered going to another town and discussing this
