It's called free will. That doesn't make it right to treat people badly but God doesn't sit here bashing us if we say or do something bad, He nudges our conscience. If we ignore it, eventually we become numb to His urgings to do the right thing. Doing the right thing needs to be an everyday all the time thing, like I make sure I pay the right price at Starbucks even when they charge me less than normal. Even if no one is watching. God knows and people who say they are Christians need to live like it because even when people don't notice us God still cares what we do and wants us to love people all the time.

God never changes, He resists the proud and gives grace to the humble and that is good. A lot of churches these days have fallen because of belief and teaching false gospels and are under the wrath of Jesus(all judgements have been given to Him) and so is this world in a great tribulation and people will become nasty and hateful and not knowing why. Pray for them. Be aware of them that are only teaching that God is love and if you follow Him you will become rich and saved. Many believe that "the church can save you from your sins" and a church can't They don't teach about fearing God.The Bible makes it clear that we are only saved by the Grace of God. These days even the sons of the kingdom will be cast out where there will be weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth.Love The Lord first, today is the day to forgive her, we have all hurt a lot of people in our lives. Christians aren't perfect can you accept that without digging for more answers? I've found that its best to pray for people that do wrong to you it makes the storm pass faster. If you can't do that than at the least pray to God to change that persons heart and you will be taking a step in the right direction.Remember what Jesus said about forgiving others? He said if you don't forgive others than you won't be forgiven.Thats a sovereign law. If someone really hurts you than read the Psalms. Psalm 37 is a good one to read when you feel bitter but read Psalm 38 after that to remind you of your condition with God. Seek the Lord while He can be found and if you feel forsaken remember so did Jesus ( the last day of His life before He was resurrected) on the cross when God turned His back on Him and He had to bear all the wrath of God for us terrible wicked sinners that deserve hell for our wrongdoings. There is a battle we fight in this world between the flesh and the spirit and like it or not thats the way it is. Read the Bible as much you can and remember not to just take parts you want to hear and remember them only. There are none righteous not one. Only God is perfect and our human minds cant perceive that but our soul can. I pray that I have been some help to you.

Apparently you were very hurt by this girl, she however seems to be unable to face the facts, about what has happend to both of you during your relationship, this has nothing to do with having faith, or practising a religion. This is an emotional problem about your relationship, and you must deal with the emotions evolving out of how you feel right now, maybe talking with this girl, and expressing your feelings, about the situation will help you to get over it.

Jim- I am so sorry that this person hurt you. She is not acting as a Christian, she is just being a nasty, selfish woman.
I agree with your frustration. I was once dating a guy who claimed to be a Christian and he ended up treating me very badly, worse than most non-christians I dated.
I am now married to a wonderful Christian man. He is a rare find, but there are good ones out there.
I pray that you heal and your heart finds a love that is worthy of your affection. Please don't allow one bad person to shape your opinion of an entire group.

God doesn't make people nasty and hateful. . .people CHOOSE to act in those ways. He wants us to be honest and loving -- not deceitful and vicious.
And incidentally, I have a file folder full of hate mail from atheists, so the problem isn't strictly limited to Christians or any other particular group. I think it would be fair to say that every group has its hypocrites, its bad apples, and its pure-D nut jobs.
If you'd take off your anti-Christian blinders, I think you'll see that what I'm saying is true. You got burned by a Christian, and I got burned by a batch of atheists. That doesn't mean that both groups are automatically bad, nasty people. It just means that we ran onto some bad examples, that's all.

God wants us to trust in Him...He wants us to look up and see that He is always there....
Now, for the missionary's kid, I don t think that she is a christian.
If she was a christian, she would consider others feelings.
Most Christians are not like that...most Christians i know are good and caring people
So to put it in short, we all sinned and thiss is an imperfect world. She may be the daughtre of a christian, but i do not believe she is a christian herself.
God loves us and wants us to Trust in Him, even in the darkest of moments

Its the free will thing, also Christians screw up, they are human, especially if you feel like you have a standard to live up to in order to be "Christian" or whatever. My dad is a pastor, and its a hard place to be in when everyone expects Christian behavior from you. Also, a lot of people out there are faking it, saying they are Christian because its the thing to do or be or what's expected of them. There's no one standard for being a Christian, its a personal thing, between you and God.

She sounds like a hypocrite and you sound like you're still hurting from the relationship. We believers aren't all that way. But do remember that not all who claim to be Christians are and some that are are very immature. There's a lot of emotional problems in many Christians too.

And those will be the same ones that he tells... "depart from me, I don't know you." Those who claimed the tittle, but did not live the title.
Luke 13:22-27
22Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. 23Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?"
He said to them, 24"Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. 25Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.'
"But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.' 26"Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.' 27"But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!'

We all fall short from the glory of God.
We have a free will. It makes things interesting. God allows a lot of pain and suffering but His time will come when He is just. In heaven there is no pain and suffering. The only sin He is not going to forgive is denial of Him. : )
