Okay I went here & downloaded GIMP & GTK +2...now what? How do I run it? (I'm using Windows)

Here are some programs with an easier learning curve than gimp ... and just as effective. One of them is gimpshop, which is gimp in a photoshop style interface.

First install the runtime environment (GTK+2), then install GIMP.
