Cat's do swin ~~~ they just hate water!!! It takes them alot of time and effort to dry themselves and they are by nature laid back animals.

Not all breeds of cat dislike swimming. I believe that it's the Angora that likes to swim and does it quite well.
I'm a groomer, one of the few that will do cats and you would be surprised to find out that a large number of cats actually enjoy their bath time. I have several that come to me and purr through the entire procedure.
My niece's cat used to follow her to the bathroom whenever she had a towel thrown over her shoulder and was often allowed to join my niece in the tub. He thought it was his right.

because they hate to get wet. but there is one breed of cat that likes to get wet and can swim. so if u want a swimming cat then get that breed. it's called the Turkish Van.

because they haven't had much practice. try tossing kitty in the pool several times a day.
