What is 1 and one half pounds of confectioners sugar in cups?

My scale is broken, and I have a recipe calling for 1 and a half pounds of confectioner's sugar. Please, if you know, tell me.

4 cups = 1 pound, when sifted
6 cups = 1 1/2 pounds

A 1 pound box equals 2 cups so another half pound would equate to 3 cups.
