How about Sadie? Our dog's name is Stacey... I do like the name Betsy but that's because my first daughter's name is Beth.... I call her Bethy! I had a dog named Sammy once... that was cute! Well... have fun picking out a new doggy name!
Just a funny side note... I once had a great dog named Ralph! My husband's neice married guy named Ralph, and when he got a dog, he named it Maxine cause he named it after me! HE thought I had named my dog Ralph after him, but I didn't even know him then anyway! We had a good laugh about it at a family get together once... sad thing though, both dogs died,... Maxine got ran over by a car, and Ralph got ran over by a school bus... Then the real Ralph and my neice got divorced! Crazy huh! LOL!

The only thing that comes to mind is Bitsy. It doesn't quite 'sing' but it is similar to Betsy and has sort of a southern sound to my northern ear.
