The idea of having a boyfriend is better.
The idea of having a boyfriend is kind of like day dreaming.
When you are single you can imagine what you want, but if you really do have as boyfriend it might not be quite what you imagine.

having a boyfriend is better than having an idea of a boyfriend because then you'll know that you'll always have somebody who is there for you and that cares about you
