You did not say what kind of dog this is, but if its stomach appears swollen and hard you need to get to a vet NOW. It may be a condition called bloat, where the stomach fills with gas and then twists so the gas cant escape. It is a very serious condition that will be fatal within hours if not treated. Do not wait, call your vet now.

Let's look closely at the wording of this question.
'My dog seems to be sick'
Who treats sick animals? VETS DO.
'How do I know if he's gonna be OK?'
What do vets do? They find out what's wrong with animals and then tell you if they're gonna be OK.
Seriously, to ask a question like this you must never have heard of a vet.
TAKE HIM TO THE VET.

Best to go to the Vet. Here is info. if the dog is constipated.
