what can i say when people are being mean to each other BEHIND each other's back...but nice to their face...that is two faced...i am getting ready to quit.. i am trying to do a good job and somebody comes up to me and starts gossiping about someone else...DON'T WORRY, I WOULD NEVER TELL ANYONE AT WORK WHAT THE PERSON HAD SAID...WHAT CAN I SAY...WHEN THE PERSON just says..."Are you listening?"...I just say ..."oh yes!"...she said what did i just say?...(I was shocked!)...i just said ..."I do not want to go into it at work"......she stampers away...TELL ME SOMETHINGS I CAN SAY....

You said exactly the right thing. Also, "whoa, I don't know anything, and I don't want to know anything" no one can criticize you for this.

Good for you - you're staying out of that nasty soup.

I just nod and say oh really wow - and just keep nodding -- I like hearing gossip even though I don't spread it or talk about it - so that way if someone asks if I was involved I can tell the truth and say "yeah I heard someone say it all I did was nod and smile"

b) tell them you dont care about all their little gossip chats. is this like a cubicle place or something?
