Most Christians are on the wide path. It is a very broad path that encompasses the Old testament God and then the New Testament God. Christians swear by Jesus and then follow the old testament ways such as an "eye for eye and a tooth for a tooth" mentality. You can't have it both ways. In my opinion...God is love...that's it.

If Christians would just follow the exact teachings from the life and words of Jesus, then they too would be on the narrow path that most mystics of all faiths are on. Most Christians get caught up on the death of Jesus and the birth of Jesus, making Jesus the same as God. He wasn't. Many spiritual leaders and teachers from the beginning of time have been made into myths. many have been said to have been born by a virgin and some have been swept into heaven like Jesus. It is predictable that bible writers, Christians, Catholics, and Constantine decided to include books in the bible which made Jesus's virgin birth and death into a myth.

When you truly follow the truth that God placed in your heart and meditate on it day and night...praying without ceasing....you will be on the narrow path. You may loose friends, and family and at times you will be very lonely. When you are on this narrow path, God will not lead you to preach at other people. He may allow you to be a good example or to share your knowledge discreetly to those who need a cup of fresh " water" Your relationship with God is a private one...sacred. It is not good to tell others how to believe. God is taking care of that for you. Being on the narrow path has nothing to do with being a Christian. Jesus certainly was not a Christian. He would be appalled at all the attention his body has gotten since his death.

Since studying religion, the Bible, and Biblical history for over 30 years, I've come to the conclusion that all religion is a myth, not just the ancient myths, but ALL of it.
Read "The Christ Conspiracy: The Greatest Story Ever Sold", and maybe you will understand more of the real history and facts of many religions, including Christianity.
Most, if not all, of the stories in the so-called "Holy Bible" are stolen ancient myths from other ancient religions with the names and facts changed to suit the Christian religion. A group of preists, in the second century got together and decided which of the "infallible" words of God should be included in the Bible. They were also in the habit of changing, revising, and adding or subtracting pieces that didn't fit their own ideas.
Besides, there is also the FACT, that there is absolutely NO PROOF of any person or event written about in the bible. The only things that might be true, but many have been proven to be falsely misleading, are geographical facts.
That is why I do not believe in a god or the so-called Savior. I have researched the facts and history and come to my own conclusions. Just because I do not believe does not mean that I am unhappy, unfulfilled, scared, or any other emotion about my own future and mortality. I am a moral, kind, loving person who helps those in need, loves animals, not afraid of death, and am very happy in my life without religion.

How arrogant and ignorant to think that all non christians are non believers, that God so dislikes the rest of humanity outside of your tiny narrow little brand of Christianity all go to hell. You don't represent all christians, but apparently some Christians hate non Fundamentalists too.

Your path may be narrow, but I don't think it leads to God or heaven.

1. What makes you think that there is a god?
2. If there is, what makes you think it is the Christian god?
3. If it is the Christian god, then why so many errors in his book? (Yes, it is filled with errors and contradictions -- despite what your preacher told you. For about 1,110,000 lists of errors, do a google search for "biblical errors".)
For several versions of how Judas died, read several NT gospels. etc, etc, etc.

Until I see some evidence that supports the existence of such a deity, you will have to simply forgive me for not believing in such.

So, excuse the converse question....why do you believe...what evidence have you been presented with that makes you believe?

God doesn't say anything. If you choose to wrap yourself tightly inside that cocoon of ignorance don't try to involve us in your fairy tail God. You go on thinking with your butt, just don't let your fantasy Boogie Man Satan take a bite out of it.

I don't believe you need to believe Jesus is the only son of God to have eternal peace. I admire Jesus but take the Bible differently. I believe we can all become "sons of God".
I believe spirituality is natural and we don't need anyone to tell us how to develope it.

Well, I like my wide path of truth. I don't need Jesus or your god or whatever else you have to offer. I'll do my thing, you do your thing, and then we'll be fine. catfish?

isn't the onus on you to show why I should believe something?

like, you can fill in anything in place of 'non Christians' (non-drunks, non-murderers, etc.)

maybe if you made a case for believing? (and not quoting a book who's only authority is itself)
