It is pretty tough..Finnish is a language exception. It's even more difficult from all Scandinavian languages, like Norsken ( Norwegian), Dutch, etc.
Finland is a relatively small country with a population at about 5 million. The native people speak English well, but to get a job there ( for example) you need also to have acquired a good knowledge in Finnish..

Have a good day!

If you are good at case grammar (Finnish has 16, English has 6) and pronouncing long words with multiple vowels, it's the language for you. Personally, I've studied 7 languages, and found Finnish to be impossible.

It depends what languages you already speak. Finnish does not belong to Indo-European family and therefore it's very different from English or any other European language. Finnish words have different roots and therefore it would take more efforts to memorize them.

The hardest for Europeans is to learn cases. As mentioned before Finnish has 16 cases. However, they submit to certain rules and are not as complicated as Estonian. Finnish verbs however are not as complicated as English. Spelling and pronunciation is easy.

As for myself I studied Finnish in a very short period of time after I had studied Estonian. It did not seem hard to me after that. (My secret was that I had an excellent teacher of Estonian.)

i guess so. but a cool fact i learned about finnish people is that someof them stay in saunas that are like a 100 degrees and then they run outside where it's like only -50 degrees. it's pretty sweet!
