The body washes that say anti-bacterial are the ones that would be concidered disinfectants

No, but if they are labelled as antibacterial, they have a bacterial killing effect if they are in contact with the skin long enough to accomplish that. Otherwise, they are just soap--designed to wash away dirt and oils. A word of caution, for normal cleansing of your body, you should not use an antibacterial cleaner. It can cause an imbalance in the normal bacterial flora of the body--this, in turn, can allow an overgrowth of fungus such as yeast. The body's natural defenses include a healthy number of certain bacteria.

The body washes that have antibacterial properties would be considered to have disinfectant qualities.

I'm not sure. Some are deep cleansing and I don't think any of them are. Just like regular bar soaps for the body.
I like using body washes instead of soap because there is no soap scum and when I'm done showering I dry it with my towel and put it away.
