Sorry not angry at Christianity and no I don't feel a thing when you pray. But I am angry with people who persecute me for being gay then turn around and bemoan the pettiest slight as persecution like most Christians. Everyday I read about (and have witnessed it personally a few times) gays, lesbians and a host of others murdered, imprisoned and out right persecuted by Christians all in the name of their religion. So you'll excuse us if we greet you with suspicion. But from where I stand, it's the Christian dishing out the persecution and the ones with the deep seated anger.

I am not angry at all Christians, just the ones that treat me like dirt, or like I am some kind of second class citizen because I dont believe the same thing they do. Its amazing how many peace and love Christians treat me like total crap because I try to question their way of thinking when they start preaching to me.
Even though you are a Christian, try a little experiment, next time you are in a group of people talking about God and religion, express the opinion that you dont believe what they do. Watch the looks on the faces, pay attention to the body language of these people. You will instantly feel very uncomfortable. I am not asking you not to believe, just pretend, and see what reaction you get.
Then you will see why so many people are angry at all Christians.
And , hey, if you want to pray for my soul, more power to ya. It does nothing for me and if it makes you feel better then, by all means, go for it.

You are mistaken. I am an atheist, and I am not angry with christianity. Christianity, as a belief, pretty much has nothing to do with me.
You really have to worry about the behavior of some christians, however. What interests me is how similar these behaviors are and if there is any common basis from which these bad behaviors arise.
Perhaps there is indeed some deep-seated anger on the part of christians that make them want to "prey" for the unbelievers.

I don't feel anything when you pray for my soul, because:
1) you pray to a deity I don't believe in.
2) you're praying for the deliverance of a soul (which I don't believe in)
3) You do it for you, not for me.
4) You're praying to save me from a place I don't believe exists except in your mind.
The constant deep seated anger towards Christianity is due to, well... Christians. I don't care what you believe. But the fact that most of you are so "high and mighty" about it, and call me ignorant for using my brain, or the fact that you threaten me with hell for believing the way I believe, makes it a little difficult to think that you are all a religion built and peace and love. I'm not necessarily angered by you, I just think you don't use logic. I think you need to use your own brain. And quit bashing me because I choose to do so.
And the fact that Christians in America have a tendency to try and legislate morality. The country was based on religious freedom, not Christianity. So keep Christianity out of my F**KING house!

As a pagan, I don't care if you pray for me. It is a waste of your time though. I have peace, joy, balance, love. I need nothing and salvation from nothing. I don't believe in sin or the need for salvation. I do tend to get a little annoyed with the "You're going to Hell!" Christians who constantly feel the need to tell meabout their salvation, and the ones who ring my doorbell too early in the morning to save my soul annoy me. The anger you hear comes from the persecution of others by Christians, the constant need to tell everyone how much better your way is, when I don't think it is. The centuries of violence committed in your God's name. Especially the push to mandate Christianity in the laws of this country. That is where the anger is born. Next time you want to stop the anger, stop yourself from doing anything but respecting the rights of others to not be Christian and to not listen you Christians.

I have no angry towards Christ, but i only see how the flaws of human nature have created religion as a means to define our existence. Look where religion started, in early Mesopotamia. The richest and most prominent figures were the priests. Now through out time, religious figure heads have always commanded power. I mean even today the catholic church is the largest land owning group in the entire world. It is a simple matter of through out time those with power have wanted to keep power, and perpetuate religion. Also you say those who persecuted christians-- do yyou mean the romans? Because they only did it because christains wouldnot accept the emperor as a god along with others. Until constantine came along, not Keanu.

Well answer me this. How would you feel, how would you react if I told you I was going to pray to my Gods that you would abandon your faith and your love of Christ? And join my religion so that you would have peace in your heart? [Not that I would ever do that.]
Now, I'd assume you'd take that as an insult? Because essentially that is what you are saying to me. When a Christian tells me they are going to pray that I will convert to their religion, I do take offense because they are telling me they are beseeching their deity that I will loose my faith and give up my beliefs. It's just plain rude and obnoxious. It will not do any good either, prayers for conversion are wasted on me, I am protected from Christian prayer sorcery.
P.S. It wasn't the Christians that turned me off of Christianity, it was the bible itself.

What bugs non Christians is when Christians try to "save their souls". Live and let live, okay? Don't concern yourself so much on what others are doing or what others believe. Focus on yourself and your beliefs and help people IF they come to you. This is the path to the Divine. Plus, many non Christians came from Christians backround and hate how intolerant and forceful they can be (don't try and say they aren't, cuz you know some that are, even if you aren't).

Yes, it's because of the "I am Holier than thou" aura that most tea party oh sorry I mean church goers have about them. What would be fitting is if there was a God that he would smite all those people, and send them to hell. Back to my point, it is the uppity attitude that Christians are the only ones' living their life properly. It's the belief that those who don't go to church and do not subscribe to the man made fantasy are less then those that do.
In addition most Christians are hypocrites. That's why the Christians anger me _I_ Roarrrrarrar!

What is your attitude towards it when some stranger wants to make your decisions for you? What if someone started praying that you would feel the beauty of the Goddess, and become Wiccan, would you consider that acceptable? And if not, why do you think others should consider it acceptable when you do it?
If your goal is to pray for someone's health, or for them to find comfort at a bad time, that is one thing, I am happy to accept well wishers wherever they might be from, and when someone asks for a prayer request out here, I am happy to join in regardless of the religion of the person posting. But for you to pray for people to become Christian, that is another matter, you're trying to make thier decisions for them, and dictate thier lives to them. Those are thier own decisions to make, not yours. I personally don't have anything against Christianity, only intolerant people from any religion.(or lack thereof)
The "golden rule" applies.
