My Doctor increased my dose to 25mg every 12 hours. He said the repeated head injuries made my ADHD severe. I do not dispute this. When I take Adderall it makes me kinda tired and very calm. I want to know first is there a difference between ADD and ADHD and why everyone in the world reports the med giving them super energy but makes me so darn docile. Is this what it is supposed to do. Oh yeah it actually lowers my blood pressure and decreases my heartrate.

ADD is attention deficit disorder.
ADHD is attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
I believe both are caused by food or chemical allergy, and many could benefit by asking a doctor to do a RAST test, (blood test sent off), or find an allergist who knows about food allergies. If it is allergy-related, when the symptoms are the worst, take two Actifed tablets and wait 30 minutes, and watch for your mind to clear. or for the mood swings to level out.
Many doctors don't believe this can happen, since they don't read it in medical journals. But Drug companies buy multiple page glossy ads in the journals to sell their medications, and they stand to lose a lot of money if we find out what's causing the problems and stop buying their stuff. So the publishers don't want to lose that money, and the docs don't learn about the findings in what they think is a "reputable" journal....
Why not give two Actifed, or two 4 mg Chlor-Trimeton a try? (Generic is just as effective, and for less money.)
