We've had a box of popcorn for at least a year now but it doesn't have an expiration date on it? Do we throw it out because we're doubtful?

Is it plain popcorn or microwave? If it is microwave style, the oils in it might get rancid, but I am not sure.

If it is just plain popcorn that has no additives of any sort, stick it in the freezer for a couple of days and try popping a few kernels to see if it still pops.
