What makes you so highly intelligent to go around downtalking to people? What gives you the right to judge others when in fact you as mere mortals who call yourselves a Christian know better then to do so especially according your scriptures particularly the book of Matthew chapter 7 verses 1-5 tell you not to do so? What gives you the right to feel so high and mighty? What gives you the right to think that you are so morally superior to everybody especially when there are some who don't practice what they preach? Also why shuld anybody who isn't Christian want to become a Christian when there some Christians can talk the talk but damn so sure can't walk the walk? Also there are many people who do believe in a higher power it's just that they don't believe in your ideology of a higher power. Don't you think that it's time to start shutting up and start putting up instead?

aunt_mab- I'm not a hater. I'm simply trying to get certain people out of that particular way of thinking. I also knoiw that there are some very nice and loving Christians. It's the not so nice and loving Christians that this question is meant for.

AdoreHim- I don't personally have a problem with what anybody chooses to believe. Just stop criticizing me for not sharing the same beliefs. And no I don't think that I'm better then anybody.

I follow my own path. It is not one that follows any particular style. But regardless of what I believe, I never, ever force my belief on others. I do not even discuss it unless asked. I feel, quite strongly, that if someone is interested, or is seeking a path, they will come and ASK.

I detest with a passion those that feel they need to go out and tell me what is 'right' and what is 'wrong'. It amazes me that none of them ever see anything wrong with their own religion. It is always perfect, always not just A way to worship, but the ONLY way. And they all cite the bible as the proof of their religion. If that were the case, there would only be ONE religion. Instead of so many interpretations.

I think that those that are so adament do so simply out of a refusal to believe that they could be wrong. They are arrogant enough to believe that not only are they right, but anyone that does not believe as they do is wrong. And they are obligated to tell us, over and over and over again.

For those that do that, I have one question for you. If you have as much faith in your God as you claim, why not believe that he will guide you to those that WANT to learn, rather than going out and forcing it on everyone in hopes of convincing a few? Your faith must not be that strong, if you doubt Him to lead you in the direction you need to go. Why would He have you waste your time on those that will never listen? Like me?

First, not all Christians are like that, so thanks for putting the 'some' in there. And second, there are atheists that believe and say the same things and have the same attitude of Christians. The question can just as easily be flipped around to them. There are ignorant people in any belief system whose only talent is to spout off at the mouth, regardless of any facts or evidence backing them. Thankfully, not all Christians, and not all atheists are like that.

I never have said the non-Christians are ignorant. It is funny though re-read your question and comments. Having to put down our faith is making you seem to me like you are saying you are superior to us. I pray that I am one of the Christians who do walk the walk, and not just talk the talk. We are all equal in the eyes of God- however we are saved- that is the only difference. Granted we should live as Christ would want us too, and I pray that I do- but please, if you want Christians to accept you the way you are, you must do the same.

If some Christians have given you the impression that the reason to become a Christian is so you can be like them, I'm sorry but you've been given a wrong reason. The reason to become a Christian is to go to Heaven when you die for all of eternity instead of going to Hell for all of eternity.

There are "Christians in name only" who definitely are hypocrites. It's your choice though, you can either join them in church now, or join them in Hell later.

God sent Jesus to be our perfect payment specifically because we are all imperfect. Even those of us TRYING to honestly walk the walk that we talk do fail at times, and can look very hypocritical. Don't pick a person to be like - a person can let you down. Christianity points us to Jesus as our example. Some of us succeed on some parts, others on other parts. It's always easiest to see where a person is NOT being like Jesus - so again, don't focus on people.

Best of results for your decisions. Hope to see you in Heaven.

I am sure SOME Christians believe or "think" that because of some of the comments made by non-believers on here that they are not very intelligent. Likewise SOME atheists or other non-Christians believe or "think" that all Christians are backward redneck morons based on comments made to them.

There are many very intelligent Christians and very intelligent non-Christians on this forum and we try our best to be loving, kind and caring and respectful. Please do not make SOME Christians and SOME non-Christians responsible for what others do here.

You sound frustrated or harrassed.

Not all Christians are that way. I am not a Christian, but some of them are decent people who respect diversity of belief, who seek to be humble and compassionate rather than judgemental intolerant and ignorant. There are Haters in every religion, and also without religion too; and many of them in their arrogance define God as a Hater too; how else could they explain the their own place within the diversity of human spiritual experience in history?

Don't be a Hater :) you have better things to do with your creativity, insight, voice, mind, life.

I don't think I am better than anyone else, but I sure don;t judge others. What you believe is between you and God and at the end you wil have to stand before him and answer for yourself woithout others around helping you. I will too and my goal is for Himi to say "well done my child' He is real and there is only one God but what ever you or anyone else believes is not for me to put you down.

They are brainwashed into thinking that they are right. They don't respect others because they are right. They also judge people constatntly and that is hypocritical because they are not supposed to judge anyone. Yet they keep on telling us how wrong we are and that we are going to burn in hell. Well, I don't believe in hell and I want to decompose when I die which I am sure I will do because SCIENCE is responsible for my existence!

I do not think non-believers are ignornant, they just choose to think differently than myself. I respect their opinions, but I'm always trying to get people to listen to my points about Christianity. I'm not looking down on them; I just want to share my religion with others. That's what Jesus did, right?

I don't know if other people look down on others who don't believe in God (or disagree with their religions, etc). I'm just speaking for myself.

Anyone who has to constantly insist how intelligent they are, usually isn't. This goes for anybody.
