as issiah said they will hear but not understand or they will see buit be blind I could find the verse give me a tick34 Yeshua spoke all these things in parables to the multitudes; and without a parable, he didn't speak to them, 35 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, "I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world." 36 Then Yeshua sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His talmidim came to him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the darnel of the field."
9His disciples asked him what this parable meant. 10He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that,
" 'though seeing, they may not see;
though hearing, they may not understand.'[a]
11"This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.

Jesus spoke in parables because it causes your mind to think a little more.....to TRY to understand. He created us with a curiosity and a capacity to learn new things. He wants us to SEARCH the scriptures....to dig for truth like gold. If it were just handed to you...most people would not care as much. Just like a present that you need to accept, and then open....it is more interesting that way...and means more. Also, word pictures (parables) stick in your mind more....it is a very effective way of communication.

Jesus spoke in parables to convey a fuller understanding of Kingdom principles. Anyone who seeks to understand them can.

Maybe the only people who can understand the parables are the ones ready to open to learn and understand and actually "get" it.

The word parable (Hebrew mashal; Syrian mathla, Greek parabole) signifies in general a comparison, or a parallel, by which one thing is used to illustrate another. It is a likeness taken from the sphere of real, or sensible, or earthly incidents, in order to convey an ideal, or spiritual, or heavenly meaning.

Think about this ...
If I tell you the light is on
and you look at that light
with your eyes and see it
as off ... then you would look
at me in a weird way!
If I tell you the light id off
and you look at that light
with your eyes and see it
as on .... then you would look
at me in a weird way!
Well that is how it is with GOD
if He says He exists and you look
with your eyes and cannot see Him.
Do you look at this in a weird way?
