People have many different interpretations and many want those of us who are tattooed to burn in hell, however many of the bible thumpers cannot see past their own noses......read this:

As was stated earlier in another answer.. If you believe in what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross, and you are a born again Christian you will get into heaven. We all fall short of the glory of GOD.. why do you think he sent his one and only son to die for us. Gods main business is forgiving his children, and giving us new mercies every day. I have 3 tattoos and I know I am going to heaven when I die. Just think long and hard about what you are getting cuz it will always be there:)

The Bible DOES say that it's wrong to get tatoos. I don't believe that getting a tat will not make u go to Hell, but if u think u will feel guilty about it all, then don't do it. keep in mind tats r permenant. Wheter your ink is a Bible verse or a demon, if u think that God is pushing u not to get it, DON'T. Because if u think u will feel guilty/sinful...etc... then every time u look at it, that's all u will think of. Remember there's NO RUSH to get a tattoo, so think it through VERY thouroughly before you do it.

The only way for you to go to Heaven is if you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you and you've let him take control of your life,so tattoos have nothing to do with Heaven or Hell. Who gave you the idea that you had to have a tattoo to get into heaven?

The only thing I can think of is the whole "your body is a temple" thing. I really don't think a Christian would be barred from heaven for a tattoo, especially one of Bible verses.

The bible says not to tattoo your body (it also says to stone disobedient children, and lots of other outdated bits of nonsense)...old testament

In the new testament, the bible says that your body is a temple. I've never seen a temple without decoration, so go for it.

Salvation is based on a personal relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ his son.

I think tattooing scripture sounds neat, but alot of people regret ever having tattoos cos your going to have it around along time...what happens tomorrow when the Lord gives you another favourite verse? maybe it's not so daft, you could smuggle yourself into China and let people read you ;)

Leviticus 19:28 says don t make cuttings or markings on yourselves FOR THE DEAD. (a) after a person is dead, NO amount of prayers, cuttings, markings, etc will help. (b) we are talking about a specific practice, one the unbelievers did. God wanted His people to pray and believe for healing. God is interested in our hearts, not what is on our skin.

it has nothing to do with whether or not you get into Heaven. Ephesians 2:8-9 says for by GRACE are you saved through faith it is not of YOURSELVES but the gift of God not of WORKS lest any man should boast. so it says that your actions will not determine your spiritual destination... however it does say that we should live for the Lord and if anyone were to see you that they should know that you are a Christian from your actions without even having to talk to you. The Bible also says that your body is a temple. You should not do anything to it that could be potentially harmful to your body. The Bible also says that you should not ink your body. So I guess there is your answer. I will pray that your decision is based on how God directs you...
